Canon Extender EF 2X III (USED)
Canon's Extender EF 2X III is the third generation of the 2X extender. These extenders will double the focal length of your lens to give you that extra reach you need for sports or wildlife. For some, this is a great way to get the extra focal length without having to purchase another lens, or carry the extra weight. This extra length does come at a price though. The 2X extenders cuts the maximum aperture of your lens by two stops. That means your f2.8 lens now becomes a f5.6 lens, and your f5.6 lens becomes a f11 lens. These extenders are especially not a popular with lenses that have a maximum aperture of f5.6, because they turn into f11 and most Canon cameras will not autofocus at f11 (Except 5DIII, 1DX). And we don't mean they hunt for a while struggling to find focus, we mean the camera will not even attempt auto focus. Also be aware that the extenders are not compatible with all lenses. If your lens zooms in and out, and the rear element moves when doing so, there is a good chance these extenders are not compatible.
